Before you write

Four lines fix a bug faster than four paragraphs:

  • The Mariner version — Mariner → About Mariner.
  • Your macOS version.
  • What you did, what you expected, what happened instead.
  • The request itself, if it is not confidential: select it and Copy as cURL (⌘⌥C).

Strip tokens, passwords and API keys before pasting anything. We do not need them to reproduce a bug, and we would rather never see them.

If it crashed or froze

macOS hands Mariner a diagnostic report after a crash or a hang, and the app keeps a copy on your Mac. Help → Show Diagnostic Reports… opens the folder in Finder; attach the most recent file and we see the actual stack instead of guessing. Nothing in that folder leaves your Mac unless you attach it yourself.

The free month and the plans

Every feature is free for the first month of the yearly plan — US$29.99 a year after that — or you can buy Mariner once for US$79.99. Both give you exactly the same app. Cancel the free month at least 24 hours before it ends and nothing is charged. The details are in the pricing page.

Without a subscription or a lifetime purchase, Mariner is read-only: nothing is deleted, everything can be opened and exported, and editing and sending wait until you subscribe.

Subscriptions and new Macs

Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to a machine, and Family Sharing is on. On a new Mac, install Mariner from the Mac App Store and press Restore Purchase in the paywall — you never pay twice. If Restore comes back empty, check that the Mac is signed in to the Apple Account that bought it, then write to us. To cancel the yearly plan, use App Store → your name → Subscriptions; Mariner stays unlocked until the period you already have ends. If you moved to lifetime, cancel the yearly plan there too — buying lifetime does not cancel it for you.

Refunds

Apple refunds everything bought on the Mac App Store, subscriptions included: ask through reportaproblem.apple.com. We never see your payment details and cannot issue one ourselves. If something is broken, tell us first — most of these turn out to be bugs we can fix.

Getting your work out

Your data is never held hostage. File → Export Collection as Mariner… (⌘⇧X) writes a portable copy of a collection, a single request travels as cURL, and both keep working without a subscription.

What it needs

macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Mariner is a native SwiftUI app: no runtime to install, no account to create, nothing to configure before the first request.

The rest

What Mariner does with your data is in the privacy policy; what you get when you subscribe is in the terms of service.
