Terms of Service
Mariner is sold on the Mac App Store as a yearly subscription that starts with a free month, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. These are the terms you accept when you install it, start the free month or buy it.

The agreement
This is a contract between you and Jean Carlos A., who develops and sells Mariner (“we”, “us”). Apple is not a party to it. By installing Mariner, starting the free month or buying Mariner Pro you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the app.
What you get
A personal, non-exclusive licence to use Mariner on any Mac you own or control, under the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The licence covers using the app; it does not transfer ownership of it. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Mariner, and you may not decompile or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly allows it whatever this page says. The app, its source, its name and its icon stay ours.
The free month
The yearly subscription starts with one free month, once per Apple Account. You start it from inside Mariner and confirm it in the App Store sheet; for that month every feature is yours. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the month ends, the first year is charged when it does. Cancelling during the free month costs nothing, and Mariner keeps working until the month is over.
Mariner Pro
Mariner Pro is the whole app: unlimited requests, collections and environments, every auth flow and importer, request chaining, contracts, the collection runner, code and type generation, HTML API docs, iCloud sync and the MCP server. You get it through the yearly subscription (including its free month) or the lifetime purchase; both cover the same features. The details are in the pricing page of the docs.
Without an active subscription or a lifetime purchase, Mariner is read-only. Nothing is deleted: you can open everything you made and export it, but editing and sending requests wait until you subscribe. iCloud sync stops mirroring; it never deletes a record on either side.
Price, billing and cancellation
Yearly: US$29.99 per year after the free month. Lifetime: US$79.99 once. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm, and Apple charges your Apple Account — we never see your card.
The yearly subscription renews automatically, including at the end of the free month, unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; the renewal is charged within 24 hours before that. Manage or cancel it any time in App Store → your name → Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next charge and Mariner keeps working until the period you already have runs out.
The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal. It sits outside the subscription, so buying it does not cancel a yearly plan you already have — cancel that one yourself in the same App Store screen, or it will renew. Mariner warns you about this before and after the purchase.
Family Sharing is enabled on both, so one purchase covers your family group.
Refunds
Apple refunds purchases and subscriptions made on the Mac App Store, not us — ask through reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is broken, write to us first: a fix is usually faster than a refund.
Support and maintenance
We are solely responsible for supporting and maintaining Mariner. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support for it. How to reach us is on the support page.
How you use it
Mariner sends the requests you tell it to send, and nothing else. What you do with it is yours: having permission to reach the systems you point it at, the credentials you store in it, and complying with the terms of any third-party API or service you call through it.
Your data and your backups
Mariner keeps your work on your Mac and we run no servers of our own; iCloud sync, when you turn it on, goes through your own Apple account. The details are in the privacy policy. Backups are yours to keep: File → Export Collection as Mariner… writes a portable copy of any collection at any time, with or without a subscription.
Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mariner is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. If it fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Mariner, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our sole responsibility. None of this limits the rights the consumer law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising out of Mariner is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages. Consumer rights that cannot be waived are, again, untouched.
Claims
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes about Mariner or your possession and use of it: product liability, any failure to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection or similar law, and claims that Mariner infringes someone else’s intellectual property. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging them.
Legal compliance
By using Mariner you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple as third-party beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Upon your acceptance of them, Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted it — to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes
We may update this page. The date at the top changes when we do, and anything material is called out in the release notes of the version it applies to. Continuing to use Mariner after a change means you accept it.
